Position Details
In this role you will be responsible for will provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of customer orders. You will also assist the warehouse supervisor with general warehouse duties as and when required. As the delivery driver you will be required to make out of town deliveries as directed and be prepared to stay overnight.
Responsibilities:
- Driving of 3-ton Truck for customer deliveries
- Loading & unloading of truck accurately and safely
- Maintain appropriate licensing, credentials, and acceptable driving record.
- Conduct yourself in a professional and ethical manner at all times.
- Treat external and internal customers and associates with courtesy and respect.
- Perform vehicle inspections as required, schedule routine or repair maintenance as needed.
- Maintain presentable truck appearance, cleaning as needed.
- Perform other responsibilities as directed.
- Perform all duties in a safe and responsible manner, following all safety rules.
REQUIREMENTS:
- A clean Class 5 driver’s license, and present drivers abstract
- Must be physically fit and to able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Required to take overnight delivery trips.
- 2+ years of experience as a delivery driver
- 2+ years of experience working in a warehouse
- Ability to read and identify numbers for accurate order filling and receiving of material.
- Required to be able to safely operate a Pallet jack and a Stair Climber.
